Our mission.
What began as a personal exploration gradually became a company built around a simple idea: drinks without alcohol should be held to the same standards as anything else served at the best restaurants—or at home.
Finding truly compelling alcohol-free beverages was surprisingly difficult. Much of the category was dominated by products focused on imitation, sweetness, and branding, with far less attention paid to what was actually in the glass. We felt there was room for something more thoughtful.
Less Than 0.5% was founded in 2023 by Jens Christophersen and later joined by Christina Topsøe, co-founder of the Michelin-starred restaurant The Four Horsemen in Brooklyn. Longtime friends from Denmark with a shared perspective on food, hospitality, and drinking culture, we came together around the belief that sophisticated alcohol-free beverages could become a serious category in their own right — rooted in quality, complexity, and craftsmanship.
Today, we import and distribute a distinctive portfolio of naturally crafted beverages from pioneering independent producers across Europe. Our selections are poured at many of the country’s leading restaurants, while also finding their way onto home tables, shop shelves, and into everyday rituals.
We continue to seek out producers pushing the category in a more grounded, thoughtful, and flavorful direction.
